The mosaic artist, Annette Cossentine, is preparing the mosaic stone in reverse.

This rendering was presented to Father Joe Sobierajski for a baptismal pool for St Peters Church in downtown Charlotte.

Annette Cossentine has begun work on the mosaic for the baptism pool for St Peters Catholic Church in Charlotte NC.

Father Joe Sobierajski asked us to build a baptismal pool lined in mosaics showing the Jesuit symbol IHS in a sunburst of gold. He also asks that the water have movement. The mosaics and the plumbing give the water this life.

We are underway. The mosaics are stunning. The work is done in reverse. The first layer of the submerged tub is finished, the top frame is started. Here is an image of the design, the liner tub holding water and the progress on the mosaics.
